Danny Quinn’s So-Cal Enduro returns for their second race of the season. This time we are going for 100 laps of mayhem where anything can happen! With their purse raised to $400 to win, we are expecting a record turnout racing to take home the cash. Danny’s goal was to make each one a little different, and this one definitely is as we go for our longest Enduro yet.

Nate VanDeventer defends his win back on March 26th, and looking for even more. The 13xl has been strong in all the events last season, and is consistently up front at the end.

#77 Alex Anderson played his cards just right at the first event of the season, and ended up winning the Ray Cran Memorial. Patience was key as one leader after another fell away leaving the checkers for Anderson. #33 Anthony Mainella and #21 Jared King tangled for the lead late in the race opening up the door for Anderson. #96 David Brandon (driving Palmdale racing Legend Ray Ray Hoopers old car) passed the most cars and is in the lead of the division by two points going into this weekend. Las Vegan Brandon has his eyes on a Championship running all the races with us this season. Defending Champions #30 John Penning & #98 Chris Peedan aren’t going to let that happen easily.

This was another wild event back in March with the most cars we’ve seen in this division in a long time. The boys did not disappoint! It was bumping and bruising to the checkers as #35 Bruce Secord notched his first win of the season. #34 Tony Forfa was right there and didn’t let Secord have the win easily doing everything possible to beat Secord. #14 Dwight Kelly posted a solid podium finish in third and looks to improve upon that going into April 16th.

2015 Champion #44 Johnny Troesch picks up where he left off in 2015, in the winners circle. It was definitely not a “cruise” as Troesch had to fight from the back after yellow flags on the track. #39 Brandon Fisk posted a solid 2nd spot, and rookie #41 Corey Carter posted his first top 3 in the division. #79 Joseph Pablo just can’t catch a break, and ended up in the front stretch wall after a Turn 4 altercation. But he has another car in his stable and will be back. Fast qualifier #71 Michael Williams rounded out the field.

#68 John Dunlap in #11 Dale Connors old car pretty much swept the day in the Lucas Oil Mini Stock class. He was fast qualifier, won the heat race, and backed it up with the Main Event win, his first ever! It’s always fun to see a drivers first win, and this was no different as John enjoyed his time in the winners circle. #38 Tim Ogden and #58 Randy Hannah completed your podium finishers with #7 Nick Higginson in 4th. Higginson still has some kinks to work out on the new car, but we’ve seen that car do so well here before under the hands of Steve Patterson. So look for #7 to rebound this weekend.

Our good friends at The Tire Store enjoy the fact these cars run perfectly well with only two tires! The rear wheels come off, plates go on, and we turn them loose on our half track. These cars are about as much fun to drive as you can image, trying to keep them going “straight” while driving in a circle.

#25 Brady Mertz came away with the victory, but defending champ #42 Jon Carter was not far behind. #40 Angel Carter posted her best finish in the division with a solid 3rd place.

Sometimes we just toss around crazy (ok stupid) ideas, and this event is one of them. Drivers will receive 5 points for safely spinning the car in front of them. Yes, we are going to spin cars “on purpose”! If you own a Derby or Figure 8 type car you are welcome to join the fun. Rules are very simple, you need a car and some basic safety equipment. Quite frankly, we just aren’t sure how this is going to go, and we are putting this to end the day as we are sure there will be more parts on the track, than on the cars at the end.
